Alexa Iben, MHA

Alexa is the Finance Manager in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Iowa Health Care. She received her BA in Psychology (2012) and Master of Healthcare Administration (2016) and has worked in health care for ten years. She started her career at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa and moved to the University of Iowa after two years. Over the course of her career at the University of Iowa (all in Obstetrics and Gynecology) she has worked as a revenue integrity representative, clinic coordinator, and research administrator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Niko, and her two boys Parker (9) and Jaxon (6), reading over 200 books a year, and running. Linkedin profile



Joe is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, working with Divisional and Departmental administration to meet the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the Department. Joe has also served as a member of the Duke School of Medicine Inclusion Council since 2016. Joe is originally from West Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from West Virginia University, and Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from Pfeiffer University.  Prior to joining Duke, Joe worked in public accounting for Grant Thornton, LLP and audit and financial analysis for a Fortune 500 retailer, The Pantry, Inc. Joe joined Duke in 2011 as a Financial Analyst in the PDC Finance Department and transitioned to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015.




Meg grew up on Long Island, New York, and majored in Psychology at Bryn Mawr College near    Philadelphia. She earned a Masters in Public Health degree from George Washington University in 1999,  and a PhD in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in 2006. Her early career was spent supporting the NIAID-funded multicenter Pedicatric AIDS Clinical Trials Group (PACTG), working from her office on the NIH main campus. She moved to Texas in 1999 to help develop the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) which she did for 13 years. In her work with BIPAI, Meg traveled extensively and helped to establish clinical care programs in Romania, Mexico, Venezuela, and many southern African countries. She pivoted to serve as the Baylor College of Medicine Neuroscience Department Administrator from 2013-2018. She found her calling in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology -- and AMGO -- in 2018. The BCM Ob/Gyn Department has ~175 faculty, 48 residents, ~25 fellows, ~70 research support staff, and ~30 administrative and educational support staff. Meg is delighted to serve as Vice President of AMGO and looks forward to learning from all of her remarkable colleagues. Personally, Meg is married to Christopher Ferris and has two adult children, Mary (21) and John (17), and a ten year-old rescue beagle named Willie Nelson. 


  

Victor is the Director of Administration for the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health and has worked for the department for nine years. In his position, Victor manages the department's clinical practice extending to multiple locations and contracts; coordinates with departmental faculty and clinical support staff and with directors/managers of billing to ensure optimum billing, collections, and practice management performance and coordinates department-wide initiatives designed to increase efficiencies administratively, clinically, and financially at Rutgers and University Hospital.  Victor has worked at Rutgers University since 1999 and with the medical school since 2008.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Rutgers University, and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Montclair University. Victor has been a proud member of AMGO since 2019 and has previously served as AMGO Board of Directors Secretary from 2022 to 2024 and as well as on the annual conference committee for two years.



Kevin McClelland, MBA, MHA

Kevin is the Assistant Vice Chair of Clinical and Academic Administration for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indiana University. He received a BA in Economics from Furman University and dual MBA and MHA degrees from Indiana University. Kevin joined the department in 2008 while in graduate school and has been in his current role since 2021. His primary responsibilities include the financial and administrative management of the department’s research mission and the day-to-day management of physician compensation. Kevin and his wife Katie have two young children, Cameron (5) and Erin (2). When not working or spending time with his kids, Kevin enjoys playing golf, exercising, and running.



Mary Porter, MA

Mary is a Division Administrator at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in the Department of OB/GYN, where she has overseen the Generalist, MIGS, and Urogynecology divisions for two years. With over 16 years of experience at the UK College of Medicine, including serving as the residency manager for OB/GYN, Mary brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, utilizing her collaborative skills to add value in every capacity. In addition to her administrative work, Mary is an educator, teaching in the college classroom. Mary has been an AMGO member since 2023, contributing to both the conference program planning committee and the communications team. A proud mother of a college freshman, in her spare time when not spending time with family, she enjoys reading, traveling, and running. 




Jody is the Vice Chair for Finance and Administration for the Department of Ob/Gyn at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has been serving in her current position for seven years where she develops and manages the department’s budget and financial operations, oversees the administrative aspects of the clinical, education, and research programs, as well as facilitating strategic planning and business development activities of the department. She has worked in the Ob/Gyn Department for 23 years, where she also held management positions in Coding/Compliance, Revenue Cycle and Clinical Operations. Prior to MUSC, she worked with several Healthcare Practice Management and Consulting firms in various roles in Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Management for Ancillary Service clients. She has enjoyed being an AMGO member since 2015, serving on the annual conference’s program committee for two years and co-chairing the 2019 conference committee. She has been serving on the AMGO Board of Directors as Secretary since Spring 2019.
