Why Attend?


Every year, a diverse group of OB/GYN Administrators from academic medical centers across the U.S. attend the AMGO annual conference to network and learn. At this unique event, administrators from academic teaching institutions gather as a community to learn and share successful strategies & programs that address the most pressing topics and emerging issues in OB/GYN. 

Who Attends?


The conference attracts administrators including Vice Chairs of Administration (VCAs), Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs), Department Administrators, Division Administrators, as well as other business leaders in the areas of operations, finance, research and graduate medical education (GME). The event also attracts a growing number of clinical administrative leaders & staff working in OB/GYN & Women's Health service lines. All attendees are engaged in activities related to the tripartite mission of research, education, and clinical care.

    FAQs

    Do all meetings and events take place at the hotel?

    The Margaritaville Hotel is our main hotel and will be the the site of the welcome reception and the conference. The Tuesday evening President's Reception location will be announced soon.

    Where can I find more information about the hotel?

    Is there a cost for wifi at the hotel?

    Complimentary WiFi is provided by the hotel. 

    What is the dress code for the conference?

    Business casual is the norm. Leisure attire of your choice at social events. 

     What can I expect at the social events?

    Our social events offer another great way to network and continue your learning experience. Come alone or bring a guest to any of our social  events and share your thoughts and ideas with fellow attendees. There is an additional charge for your guest(s) at the Welcome Reception and the President's Dinner.

     What's included in my registration?

    The AMGO registration fee provides full participation in the conference including registration and conference materials, as well as the following meals: Breakfast (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), Lunch (Monday, Tuesday), morning and afternoon refreshments, Sunday 'Welcome Reception' and Tuesday 'President's Dinner'. 

     What if I have to cancel my registration?

    Unexpected events occur. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you must cancel your registration due to an emergency or other unexpected event. Requests for refunds can be sent to Majik at majMAJIK.ABIDZHANOVA@cuanschutz.edu

     I'm having trouble with registration or my credit card won't process, who can I call or email?

    Credit card processing problems are generally caused by a mismatch in the billing address of the credit card holder. Check that the address entered matches the billing address listed with your credit card provider or contact your credit card provider to authorize the charge. We're here to help!      What forms of payment do you accept?

    Registration payment is by credit card and is required at the time of registration. If you must pay by check, registration will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. Checks should be mailed to: Majik Abidzhanova, Dept. of OB/GYN, University of Colorado, 12631 East 17th Avenue, 4th Floor, MS B198-1, Aurora, CO, 80045

    Can I register in person at the event?

     Yes! Walk-in registrations are welcomed and accepted at the member/non-member rate plus an additional $100.

     Will the information presented at the conference be available afterward?

    Yes! Speaker presentations will be made available to all attendees at the conclusion of the conference. AMGO members can access the current year as well as prior conference presentations on our website

    Does the conference offer any professional continuing education credits?

    Program participants are eligible for ACMPE Category II credit hours. Upon completion of the program, participants should send a completed form, indicating sessions attended. Forms will be available at the conference.

     How will AMGO help ensure my health and safety while attending the conference?

    The health and safety of our attendees is paramount. AMGO and its partner, Margaritaville Hotel, are committed to following the CDC and municipal Covid guidelines for hosting large events. 

     Does AMGO have a mobile app?

    Yes! The Wild Apricot app is available for iOS and Android devices. You can register for the event, renew your membership fees and view the member directory on your mobile device.

    Is there an option to attend the conference virtually?

    Due to the cost and complex coordination, the AMGO Board of Directors have decided to focus on face-to-face sessions and networking at the Hilton Head conference. There will be no hybrid or virtual-only options. This event will be in-person only with no plans to change to virtual.

    The AMGO Conference invites foundations, non-profits, and companies dedicated to providing exceptional obstetrics and gynecology care and support to women to participate as exhibitors.
